Angola intends to attract more Chinese tourists as part of its attempts to expand domestic tourism, according to Angolan President Joao Lourenco in a recent interview with China Central Television (CCTV) in east China’s Shandong Province.
Lourenco, who visited China from March 14 to 17, stated that he would like to attract more Chinese visitors to his nation because of its distinctive scenery.
“I want to introduce Angola as a country teeming with prospects, particularly for investors, as well as a country with numerous tourist attractions. Angola has practically everything for people looking to experience a new world and immerse themselves in the grandeur of Africa. The country has beaches, sunshine, beautiful waterfalls, and animals. We intend to build a vast wildlife reserve in the country’s southeast, known as the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area. Tourists interested in large creatures, like as lions and elephants, will have the opportunity to see them up close. This is the Angola we want to convey to Chinese people who are interested in learning more about our nation,” Lourenco said in Jinan City, Shandong’s provincial capital.
Angola is located in southern Africa and borders the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the north, Zambia in the east, Namibia in the south, and the Atlantic Ocean in the west. It has a 1,650-kilometer-long coastline. Luanda, the country’s capital and largest city, is located on northern Angola’s Atlantic coast.
Despite its proximity to the equator, the country has a mild temperature thanks to its high topography and the effect of the Atlantic cold current.
