Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops killed 21 Al Shabaab militants following a clash at Hawina, Somalia.

This took place Tuesday morning after Al Shabaab fired at KDF soldiers who were on their way to Tabda, from Dobley.

“The KDF troops while approaching Hawina at 8.23am were shot at by a lone Al Shabaab terrorist who fled the scene,” they said, adding that an operation was launched immediately to flush out other militants leading to the killing of the 21.
