The Nze community of Enugu State have been left in a state of disarray after word got out that Fulani herdsmen were set to launch a night attack in the area.
According to a Daily Post report, residents had deserted their homes as a result of the rumoured attack, with some residents calling on police to step up security in the wake of the threat.
The threat is alleged to have come as a result of a misunderstanding between farmers and herdsmen over cows.
Some herdsmen responsible for the recent attacks in the Ukpabi Nimbo community have reportedly been arrested, following a statement made by Enugu State Police Commissioner, Emmanuel Ojukwu.
Naij has reported that Ojukwu declined to offer more details on the arrest at the current time.
