7 killed in Ogun auto crash, Nigeria

Seven people have lost their lives and nine others have been left injured following a deadly road accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

According to a PUNCH report, a speeding commercial bus collided with a truck on a stretch of the expressway where construction was taking place.

Officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were called shortly after to clear debris from the accident scene and restore the flow of traffic in the area.

Adegoke Adetunji, Ogun State FRSC Sector Commander, confirmed the incident and said that the corpses of the deceased had been handed over to police.

Motorists have since been urged to be vigilant and drive with caution along the expressway.
