A man from Nyanama village in central Uganda district of Wakiso, has reported his wife of 37 years to the police for denying him sex for 17 years.
The couple, Julius Semanda 54 and Zamula Naiga 52, have five children.
In an interview, Semanda said his wife had denied him conjugal rights for the past 17 years, as she believed he was engaging in extra marital affairs.
”We got married in 1979. I am a driver for World food programme and my job involves travelling long distances and staying away from my family for long. But I used to make sure that I leave enough money for my family.”
Semanda added: ”Since 1998 we have not slept together. She alleged that I was cheating on her and she left our bedroom and began sleeping in the children’s room.”
Naiga, however, insisted that her husband was cheating on her.
”It is true we have not had sex for 17 yrs. I refused because am certain that he has other women and he wants to infect me with sex related diseases,” Naiga said.
Semanada said he had since reported the case to Katwe police.
