An ODM MP has referred to Othaya MP Mary Wambui as Mary Kibaki.
Kimilili Mp Chris Wamalwa referred to the Othaya MP as Mary Kibaki in accordance to her supposed relationship with former President Mwai Kibaki.
Wambui has previously been linked to the former President, with reports stating that her daughter is Kibaki’s.
The two though have vehemently denied the allegations which means that Wamalwa’s comments are even more peculiar.
Wamalwa referred to Wambui in that manner during a Parliamentary hearing seeking to debate whether some MP are eligible for a fund seeking to help them be able to campaign for their seats.
Wamalwa stated that he does not think Wambui is a needy case.
” Those married to rich men like Mary Kibaki are not eligible and should not be mentioned in the same breath,” he stated.
MPs who attended the hearing laughed at the utterances.
Wambui was not in the house at the time and it remains to be seen if she will respond.
