Uhuru Running Kenya Like An Absentee, Confussed Leader, Says Pressure Group

A civil society group has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of running the country like an absentee President.

The Nakuru governance forum said that the President’s style of leadership is similar to that of a confused resident and called on him to change his tactics.

Through their co-ordinator Mutuma Wangwe, the group said that the residents feel as if there is no President in power because Kenyatta has left it at the mercy of proxies and cartels.

Speaking Sunday in Nakuru town, the group said that the President is allowing things to happen in the country under his watch without taking any action.

“Of late, the President has been so silent on important national issues and it seems he has left the cartels and power brokers to run the show on his behalf,” said Wangwe.

He added: “It seems Kenya has an absentee President because Kenyatta is not making decisions he is supposed to be making as a President of this country and if he doesn’t wake up he will find Kenya with the dogs,” he said.

The group called on Kenyatta to get rid of all cartels and power brokers from State House and take back control of the country.
