Turkish President Expected In Kenya Later Today

Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to arrive in the country later today.

Erdogan, who will also be touring several other African states, will spend three days in Kenya starting Wednesday.

According to reports, Erdogan arrived in Uganda Tuesday, and is expected to hold bilateral trade talks with President Yoweri Museveni Wednesday before departing for Nairobi.

Sources confirmed that he will be arriving at JKIA in the evening, but the official time of his arrival has not yet been communicated.

He will hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta Thursday at State House in Nairobi.

President Erdogan is heading a delegation which includes a number of Turkish businessmen and would aim to strengthen economic ties.

It is the first time a Turkish President visits Kenya and Uganda.

South Korea’s President Park Geun-hye is also in the country for a three-day visit that ends today.
