Johannesburg – The ANC Youth league’s new national executive committee (NEC) was announced at its national congress held in Midrand, Johannesburg, on Sunday.

The youth league has not had a national leadership since the ANC disbanded it in 2013.

The 35 member-NEC was nominated unopposed on Saturday night.

The members are:

– Bavelile Hlongwa

– Nompumelelo Hlophe

– Andriehetha Jacobs

– Masubelele Jara

– Thembinkosi Josopu

– Ntombi Koloti

– Mika Mahlaule

– Joy Maimela

– Lerato Maogwe

– Nthateng Maoke

– Lesego Maris

– Phumzile Mashego

– Fikile Masiko

The ANCYL’s top five officials were nominated unopposed on Friday evening.

They are:

– President Collen Maine

– Deputy president Desmond Moela

– Secretary general Njabulo Nzuza

– Deputy secretary general Thandi Moraka

– Treasurer general Reggie Nkabinde
