Police in Nakuru County are holding ten students over alleged participation in an arson attack on Michinda Secondary dormitories last weekend.
Police are interrogating the ten students after they were linked to dosing of the school dormitory with petrol before setting it ablaze on Sunday night.
According to the school’s Principal Cyrus Wandera all leads indicate that the ten were involved in the planning and setting ablaze of the dormitory.
“Police are interrogating the ten students who we suspect were part of the ring leaders that planned and executed the plan of burning the dormitory where we lost property worth millions and we hope they will help unravel the truth behind the arson attack,” said Wandera.
The school has since been closed down for two weeks to allow for investigations
No students were hurt during the incident.
