Nairobi Governor, Evans Kidero has promised to pay all striking doctors their dues on Friday.

Kidero said that all the doctors will get their allowances, salary arrears and promotion letters Friday as they had reached an agreement with their union Secretary.

“You should now go back to work because I have committed to discuss all the issues you had raised through a letter to me. All the issues raised will be addressed on Friday,” Kidero told the striking medics.

The two parties reached an agreement after a lengthy meeting with the striking doctors’ union secretary general, Ouma Oluga Wednesday.

The doctors have been on strike for the last few days to protest delay in payment of their salaries, allowances and failure by the County government to give them letters of promotion amongst other grievances.
