Stampede in Cameroon School Leaves 106 Students Injured

A stampede occurred Monday morning at the Lycée Bilingue d’Etoug-Ebe in Yaoundé, the political capital. At least 106 students were hurt.

 

According to sources, the stampede occurred when pupils who were late for school attempted to enter the school gate, which had already been closed. The incident turned tragic.

 

Many kids died on the scene, while others were transported to local hospitals.

 

Local and national officials have been mobilized to address this unanticipated disaster. Medical teams, law enforcement officers, and psychologists were summoned to the area to provide immediate and critical help.
