Shocking! Woman Dies Few Days After Her Wedding

A tragic new bride died on her honeymoon just 10 days after her wedding – after suffering a heart attack brought on ‘by eating fish’.

Christine Fensome was celebrating her nuptials on a luxury trip Mexico with her new husband when she fell ill on September 27.
On the night before she died the 54-year-old was said to have eaten fish with high levels of mercury – which may have caused her organs to shut down.

After leaving the restaurant the newlyweds went back to the hotel, but Chris woke up with “terrible sickness and diarrhoea with funny sounds coming from her throat”.
As Chris went to have a shower, Andy called a hotel porter who summoned a doctor.

Her condition deteriorated and she was rushed to hospital – but died 10 minutes after arriving.

Her three children Brad, 33, Richard, 30 and Hayley, 29, say their mother struggled to get over the loss until meeting Andy seven years ago.

They say new love Andy Bennetts, 58, had taught her to “love again” and the pair tied the knot on September 17 before jetting off to South America for their honeymoon.

Christine’s mum Sybil, 79, from Hereford, said her daughter died 10 minutes after arriving at a Mexican hospital when she fell ill from eating fish at a restaurant.

Just two days before she died Christine posted photographs on Facebook showing the couple enjoying their honeymoon in Cancun.

She uploaded a snap from the luxurious Maroma Beach Riviera and wrote: “Just having a amazing rain storm with thunder. Had to take cover in the bar ! Met some amazing people laughed so much I’m aching !”

Days earlier she also posted pictures from Puerto Morelos of the couple enjoying cocktails by the pool and their honeymoon suite.

And prior to their wedding on September 16 Chris spoke of her excitement at marrying Andy and uploaded a picture of the pair with the caption “Won’t b long ! Xx MR B x”

Husband Andy, who works in insurance, said: “I’m sorry. I’m just not ready to talk about what happened.”
Christine, from Burghill, Herefordshire, was described as being a “fit and active” regular gym-goer who doted on her five grandchildren.
