Several People Were Gun Down In Biafra, Soldiers Clash In Nigeria

Anambra – Several people are gun down during the clash in between soldiers and also Biafran activists in Onitsha, Anamabra State, Punch reported.

This comes during the celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the defunct Biafra republic.

The celebrations turned bloody and violent after IPOB members chanted in the streets from the early hours and blocked the way to mark the anniversary.

Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra State, Alli Okechukwu has confirmed the incident.

Dailypost reports that some people involved in the clash are suspected to be members of the Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra.
