Senate Summons Adeosun, Emefiele Over State Of Economy.

The Senate on Wednesday, summoned the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, and the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to appear before the upper chamber and brief the senators on the current state of the economy.

The summon follows a motion by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Gas,  Senator Bassey Akpan.

Akpan’s motion was titled : “Urgent need to address the present economic state of the nation”

The Senate, however, did not give a specific date that the two government officials would appear before it.
