Deputy President William Ruto has accused CORD leader Raila Odinga of using Jacob Juma’s death for political mileage.
He told him as well as other political leaders to instead use their said and alleged information to help police trace the killers.
“Whoever has information on the killing of businessman Jacob Juma should take it to the police and not his funeral,” said Ruto.
The Deputy President said it was unfortunate that some opposition leaders are using the murder of Juma to drive a political agenda.
Ruto added that there was no difference between those who commit crime and those who use the unfortunate situation of the crime to their advantage.
“There is no difference between those who commit crime and those who make wild allegations without assisting the police,” he said.
Ruto said if Opposition leaders are sincere about their quest for justice they should stop politicking in funerals and share the information they have with law enforcement agencies.
CORD leader Odinga has accused the government of having a hand in Juma’s murder.
Juma was killed in cold blood last week close to Lenana School in Nairobi while heading to his Karen home.
The opposition has for a while accused the ruling coalition of hiding information on the matter.
