The official soundtrack to the romantic thriller “Queen & Slim” has been released and it features Nigeria’s Afrofusion artist Burna Boy.

Burna Boy’s stand out solo “My Money, My Baby” is an Afrobeat track which heavily samples the great Fela’s 1972 song “Shakara”.

Burna Boy’s “My Money, My Baby” captures the Bonnie and Clyde themed film.

The 16-track soundtrack features 11 original songs that span several genres from artists like Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, Blood Orange, Bilal, Raphael Saadiq, Vince Staples, EARTHGANG and more.

The Lena Waithe feature-length film stars Danieal Kaluuya, Jodie Turner-Smith, Chloe Sevigny and more.

Plot summary:

Slim and Queen’s first date takes an unexpected turn when a policeman pulls them over for a minor traffic violation. When the situation escalates, Slim takes the officer’s gun and shoots him in self-defence. Now labelled cop killers in the media, Slim and Queen feel that they have no choice but to go on the run and evade the law. When a video of the incident goes viral, the unwitting outlaws soon become a symbol of trauma, terror, grief and pain for people all across the country.

“Queen and Slim” will be released in the United States on November 27, 2019.
