Pretoria Reserve Bank offices evacuated

Pretoria – The Reserve Bank offices in Pretoria were evacuated on Tuesday morning after the fire alarm on the second floor was activated, Tshwane Emergency Services said.

“Up to now we could not find anything. We could not smell any smoke or see any flames,” spokesperson Johan Pieterse said.

“The office has been evacuated for safety reasons.”

He said all emergency services were on scene and were doing a floor-by-floor inspection to make sure there is no fire.
