The police in Kano on Friday arraigned the prime suspect and four others believed to have masterminded and killed a 74 year-old Christian woman trader in Kano, Mrs Briget Agbaheme for blasphemy, reports Vanguard.
The suspects are Dauda Ahmad , Abdullahi Mustapha, Zubairu Abubakar, Abdullahi Abubakar, and Musa Abdullahi.
The suspects were also accused of using dangerous weapons to hit her head which, caused serious injuries that subsequently led to her death.
The five accused persons pleaded not guilty to charges against them, and the police prosecutor, Usman Jibril pleaded the court to adjourn the case to enable them complete investigation.
The presiding judge, Muhammad Jibrin adjourned the case to June 28 and directed that the suspects be remanded in prison.
