The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the former National Chairman of the party, Ali Modu Sheriff and other warring factions within the party to withdraw all court cases, reports Daily Post.

This was the resolution reached at an enlarged meeting of party organs including the Board of Trustees (BoT), Governors’ Forum; National Assembly caucus, former ministers and PDP Concerned Stakeholders led by former minister of information, Prof. Jerry Gana.

The BoT said the call was in line with the party’s extant regulations that no matter should be taken to court without exhausting internal mechanisms.

BOT Secretary Ojo Maduekwe disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja, while addressing newsmen on the resolutions of the board’s expanded meeting

Vanguard reports that Maduekwe added that the meeting resolved that all matters that were in courts be withdrawn for the party to apply internal mechanisms towards resolving them.

He stated that two committees were set up at the meeting to engage all warring factions with a view to finding a lasting solution to the leadership crises rocking the party.
