Fiery Catholic priest and spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu State, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka, has come under fire from angry Nigerians for describing President Muhammadu Buhari as a blessing from God to the people of Nigeria.
Mbaka had in his latest video message, told his congregation and other Nigerians to refrain from cursing President Buhari so as not to be cursed by God, reports News 24
“So I want to tell you that so far, God is happy with Buhari. And him whom God has blessed, may you not try to accurse, because God will curse you.”
The priest also revealed that there are many plans to kill the President so that corruption can continue as usual.
“Many people are planning, as it is revealed, to kill him. There are many plans on how to cut his life so that corruption will continue, so that quantum embezzlement will continue.
“But the Lord says ‘God who put you there will not forsake you. Be firm, be resolute, stay focused, and be unbiased. Refuse to be intimidated and refuse to be distracted. Go ahead and war against evil. President Buhari, go ahead and war against corruption. President Buhari, God and his people are behind you, you are the answer of the prayers of the people, amen.
But Mbaka’s message has angered many Nigerians, who wondered why the priest will be praising Buhari just weeks after he castigated the President.
Some of Mbaka’s critics even went as far as describing the preacher as an anti-Christ.
