Nigerian Singer, Wizkid Postpones ‘More Love Less Ego’ Tour

Wizkid, the award-winning Nigerian musician, has canceled his upcoming ‘More Love, Less Ego (MLLE)’ tour.

The tour was slated to stop in 20 locations across the United States and Canada from March 3 to April 7.

But, on Thursday, the ‘Ojuelegba’ singer turned to social media to announce the tour’s cancellation.

He said the development was due to some “unforeseen logistical circumstances.”

Wizkid did not reveal the new dates, but he did say the tour has been rescheduled for the fall season, which runs from September to December 2023.

The performer also stated that the tickets already purchased will be valid for the new dates at the relevant venues.

“Due to unforeseen logistical circumstances the Wizkid – More Love, Less Ego Tour has been postponed to Fall 2023. All tickets purchased for the originally scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates at the respective venues. Stay tuned for more information,” the statement reads.

The ‘MLLE’ North American tour was originally set to begin today, as Wizkid announced the 20-city tour named after his fifth studio album on November 16.

After several weeks of teasing, Wizkid launched his fifth album on November 11th.

‘Superstar’ (2011), ‘Ayo’ (2014), ‘Sounds From The Other Side’ (2017), and ‘Made In Lagos’ (2018) are the singer’s other four studio albums (2020).

‘Made In Lagos’ received two Grammy nominations for the 2022 edition.

The musician announced in January that he will embark on a tour with Davido.
