Mary Njoku, the Nollywood actress, has revealed that she survived a “major accident” on New Year’s Eve.
In a recent post on Instagram, the filmmaker expressed gratitude to God for life.
She added that she now has a newfound deep appreciation for life and vowed to cherish every moment.
“Few hours to 2024. I almost did not make it. What could have been a major accident averted,” she wrote.
“Still do not know how I escaped it. But I did. It was not my time. So, it almost does not count.
“It is 2024, and I am still here, thankful for Life. I will slow down and love life every day as if it were going to be my last. Cos one day, it will be. Just like 31st December, 2023.
“Life is too short to be anything but happy. Grateful.”

She, however, did not provide more details regarding the accident.
Njoku gained fame after featuring in the popular Nollywood blockbuster ‘Blackberry Babes’ in 2011.
She is the founder of ROK Studio, a movie production firm established in 2013.
In 2019, she oversaw the acquisition of ROK by CANAL+, marking the largest international deal to date for a Nollywood brand.
The company has produced several movies and series, including ‘Festac Town’, ‘Single Ladies’, ‘Body Language’, ‘Losing Control’, and ‘Husbands of Lagos’.
The actress is married to Jason Njoku, the CEO of Iroko TV.
