Controversial Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has been urged to “stop abusing” President Muhammadu Buhari through his so called “free speech”.
According to The Nation, this was said by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yusuf Ali, in a statement in Abuja.
Ali criticized Fayose over his utterances in recent times, saying he had crossed the boundary of free speech.
Fayose has often lambasted president and his administration.
“His frequent insults and vituperations against the President have crossed the boundary of free speech… If Fayose is suffering from verbal diarrhoea, I think it is time he goes for cure rather than abusing our president. This is unacceptable,” Ali was quoted as saying.
This comes a few days after reports indicated that all was not well in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chiefs, following indications that the party’s chairperson Ali Modu Sheriff and Fayose were planning to jointly run for the presidency in 2019.
