Abuja-The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has actually commended controversial Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State for being outspoken.
According to Daily Post, in a statement signed by IPOB Media and Publicity Officer, Emma Powerful, the group hailed Fayose for condemning the killing of non-violent Biafra agitators.
The group said it had high esteem for “governor Fayose, who has shown that he is the only detribalized politician after the late Owelle of Onitsha Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, that is still living and does not play politics with the lives of any citizen of Nigeria”.
It said that responsible Nigerians should prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari to do the right thing by releasing its leader and Director of Radio Biafra.
IPOB’s remarks came after Fayose condemned Monday’s killing of pro-Biafra protesters in Delta State, saying it appeared as if Buhari was truning the people of the South East and South South to “politically endangered species”, according to Premium Times.
