Nigeria: EFCC Summons NDDC Director

Abuja – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned one of the directors in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Robert Obuoha, as part of an ongoing investigation in the agency, Punch reports.

Operatives of the anti-graft agency on Wednesday visited the corporate headquarters of the NDDC in Port Harcourt over allegations of mismanagement of funds levelled against the directors of the NDDC.

The NDDC, however denied claims that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission embarked on a mass arrest of directors in the interventionist agency.

Head of Corporate Affairs of the NDDC, Chijioke Amu-Nnadi, confirmed the visit of the EFCC to the commission’s headquarters, adding that the anti-graft agency did not arrest any director in the interventionist agency.
Amu-Nnadi maintained that the EFCC only invited one of the directors, Robert Obuoha, to their office to clarify some issues.
