Popular Master of Ceremony Wale Gates has taken to commenting about this action. According to him, this act of publicising a party by wearing its material flouts NYSC rules.

This is because corps members are not supposed to participate in political activities of any kind. Failure to adhere to this will lead to a non-payment of allowance for 3 months.

Wale Gates took his argument to Twitter to air his disapproval of the singer’s action. He shared a photo of Davido wearing the NYSC uniform and another picture where he wore a campaign attire that showed his support for his uncle.
