The mother of a young girl who was arrested by the police when she went to visit her boyfriend despite the confinement spoke about her child’s behavior.
The teenager identified as Maa Akua recently made the headlines in Ghanaian newspapers after she was arrested in Accra for failing to comply with the confinement rules. When questioned, she said that she would spend time with her boyfriend because the living conditions at home were unbearable.
Approached by journalists from United Television (UTV), the mother of Maa Akua, who has 7 children, suggested that her daughter’s behavior is not strange. According to her, the little one does not respect her because she is poor.
