Days after the KDF ended rescue operations in the collapsed Huruma building, fears have been raised that the missing persons could have drowned in the nearby Nairobi River.
The six-storey that collapsed two week ago housed about 150 households, but it is not clear how many were home when it collapsed.
The building was constructed near the Nairobi River, with rescuers now fearing that some people could have jumped or fallen into the river.
According to The Star, relatives have identified 13 bodies so far but 28 others have still been reported missing.
At least 51 people have so far been confirmed dead, with Daily Nation reporting that a team of about 20 rescuers started searching for the missing persons in the murky waters of Nairobi River Sunday.
