Not fewer than 19 people are alleged to have died following a horror crash along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to a Punch report, the accident occurred when a tanker attempted to overtake a truck, thereby leading to a head-on collision with a commercial bus.
Only one passenger travelling on the bus is said to have survived the crash, while all other passengers passed away.
Although officials from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) have confirmed the number of deaths, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have alleged that only 15 people perished in the wreck.
The driver of the tanker has since been blamed for the accident, while officials claiming that he was being impatient.
