Another gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has passed away.
According to a Naij report, Prince Rotimi Obadofin was a frontline member of the Afenifere and hailed from the Ijumu LGA of the state.
The late politician is said to have died in Osogbo on Thursday night due to a ruptured appendix.
Governor Yahaya Bello, who expressed shock over Obadofin’s death, described the politician as a “frontline progressive” who exhibited a drive for the actualization of civil rule in Nigeria.
In addition, Obadofin has been called a “pragmatic democrat, fiery human rights defender and a believer in the core ethos of Afenifere.”
