Celebrated Kenyan female singer Vivian Wambui is mourning the sudden death of her father-in-law Bishop Weston Gitonga.
The sassy Chingi Changa hitmaker shared the sad news via her social media pages stating how she will miss him.
“Dad has gone to be with the lord. I would have wished to have many more talks to learn and grow from you but I will keep in heart all you’ve left behind. #RIPDrWeston We will surely miss you,” she posted.
Vivian’s fiancé Sam West, who is set to walk her down the aisle early next year, shared a photo of his father on Instagram with the caption, “Rest well Papa. You fought a good fight. I will dearly miss you.”
In another message, Vivian showered Sam with praises and asked her followers to pray for the family during this difficult time.
“For a long time, I believed life was all about achievements and so I invested all my resources and all my energy and time on creating achievements. Over time, however, I discovered I was not completely right. Achievements are great but they are a small part of a good life.
“Imagine how happy we all feel when we receive love and support from other people. When someone stretches out a helping hand to lift you up or goes out of their way to visit you.
“Let’s be supportive of one another because we all feel great and happy when we receive love and care. For those who can please keep us in prayer especially for @samwestke and the entire family as they mourn Dad Bishop Weston Gitonga. It is well,” her post read.
