The wife of Kikuyu musician Joseph Kamaru wa Wanjiru, Susan Wangari Kamaru, has died just four months after her husband.
Susan Wangari Kamaru, 78, died last week after years of battling high blood pressure and several other ailments.
Ms Wangari was staying at the house she shared with her husband in Watuha village in Kangema.
It is at that homestead that her family is preparing to bury her tomorrow.
Preparations finalised
Her sons Boniface Maina and Stephen Macharia said burial preparations had been finalised.
Mr Maina said his mother had been ailing and the family had spent a fortune on her medication and other necessities.
“She died on Saturday at around 10pm, when she visited my sister in Rongai. Our mother has been ailing for three years and had been treated in various hospitals,” said Maina.
Wangari was last seen in public during her husband’s burial.
