Kenyan Governor Dr Evans Kidero, Becomes First Governor To Petition Senate

Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero today became the first Governor to petition the Senate. He made an appearance before the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee.

Kidero made the petition to the Senate concerning payment due to the NCCG on account of a parcel of land in Embakasi allocated to the Department of Defence.

The Governor is demanding Kes 61.5B from the Department of Defence.

Dr Kidero called upon the Senate to enact a legislation setting out a procedure for amicable and expeditious resolutions of disputes between the National and County governments. To avoid lengthy and costly litigation processes between the two levels of Government.
