Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria’s comments pertaining to the assassination of CORD leader Raila Odinga were his own words and not all of Jubilee, a Governor has said.
Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka says that the utterances are unnaceptable and not what all peace loving Jubilee Coalition supporters think.
He said that such comments form leaders must be discouraged and action taken on those ones who persist with them.
” The utterances are clearly his own words and not the feelings of we peace loving Jubilee Coalition supporters,” he said.
Lusaka urged Kenyans to shun incidences of violence and hatred and instead look to build peace and unity as well as nation building.
” Kenyans must shun such utterances and concentrate on nation building, which is where the nation must look to, not at violence,” he added.
Lusaka says that despite being on opposite sides with the opposition and their thinking, matters of hate speech must be shunned.
” There are always times when we disagree but it must not be violent,” he added.
Kuria has already recorded a statement over the utterances.
