“Dear Betty Kyallo,” are the first three words from a letter written by one Mitchel Adhiambo.
In it, Adhiambo penned that Betty was a fantastic role model who carries the aspirations and hopes of many women in the country.
A letter that has moved the K24 anchor into giving Adhiambo special mention for brightening her ‘tough day.’
She wrote that the nation needs more “smart, selfless and brave” women like her.

“I love you my fantastic role model. You’re my Hero and the world needs more people like you.
“You inspire me every day to be a better person. Your strength and passion constantly amaze me and make me want to be Strong and as passionate as you are and my hope is that one day I can be half of the amazing woman you are.
“Nevertheless, I know that you are indeed placed in my life for a beautiful reason, and I am grateful for that reason every single day.
“You are kind to everyone you meet, you are beautiful, inside and out. You are incredibly smart, selfless almost to a fault and you are strong and brave.
“I want to thank you for being the best role model a girl/youth would ever wish for.
“With all my love,” wrote Adhiambo.
To which Kyallo responded, “Had a tough day but this put a smile on my face. Thank you @_chelambo I appreciate you so much. I’ve never met you but I love your positive vibes. Thank you hope to meet you soon.”
