Businesswoman, Josephine Kabura’s lawyer has appeared before the court to block a motion for his arrest by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for allegedly forging an affidavit implicating former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru in the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal.
According to Citizen TV the order was put forth on Monday saying that the move by the EACC is an abuse of administrative authority.
Samson Amberi is in the hot seat after news started making the rounds that Kabura distanced herself from the affidavit implicating senior government connected to the Sh791 million loss.
Josephine Kabura in February was questioned by the EACC over her involvement in the Sh791 million National Youth Service scandal.
The Daily Nation said she was being questioned over an affidavit implicating Waiguru and other officals.
The affidavit claimed that Waiguru and others played a key role in devising schemes as well as diverting public attention and misleading investigative agencies.
