Ivorian Int’l, Kolo Toure Appointed As Ivory Coast Olympic And Under 23 Assistant Boss!!

Toure was linked with a coaching role at Parkhead this season after making 17 appearances for the Hoops last season.

Former Celtic defender Kolo Toure has been appointed Ivory Coast Olympic team assistant manager.

The popular 36-year-old helped Celtic become Invincible last season, although he played less of a role as the season progressed.

He was offered a chance to continue at Celtic in a players-coach position but spent the summer back home working with his national team.

And he’s now been appointed as No.2 with their Olympic side.

The former Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool ace won 120 caps for the African nation in a glittering career.

And he made 17 appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side last term as the Parkhead side swept the board.

Now Toure will take coach the Ivory Coast Olympic teams and Under 23 side as he starts his coaching career.
