Lagos – The average cost of fuel went down throughout Nigeria from N162 to N150 in May.
This was made known in a recent report by the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.
The report showed that the price of fuel dropped by 7% when comparing the cost of petrol in April and May.
Ebonyi state recorded the highest price in sales of petrol at N165 per liter, while Lagos and Kaduna sold the cheapest petrol at N145 per liter.
The price of petrol was increased in May by the federal government after months of fuel scarcity, from N87 per litre to between N130 and N145 per liter.
