I Started Working at 3, Says BBNaija’s Phyna

Phyna, the season 7 winner of Big Brother Naija, says she began working at the age of three.

When she appeared on the Nancy Isime show recently, the reality TV personality discussed her early problems.

Phyna stated that she began working at her aunt’s restaurant at a young age and that “growing up for me was not really easy.”

The reality star also recalls missing two academic sessions in order to care for her father after he was engaged in an accident.

“First of all, growing up for me was not really easy. Starting from scratch, I actually grew up with my aunt, my dad’s elder sister in Auchi. And my aunt sells food in a restaurant,” she said.

“Now, imagine a young girl at a restaurant at a very tender age. At three, I was already in the restaurant serving men. And there is a point my dad had an accident. They needed somebody to be with him at the hospital. I think I just finished my JSS 3 then and I had to go with my dad from one hospital to another. It affected me in school.

“I never attended SS1 and 2. So, on coming back, I joined my mates in SS 3.”

Born Josephina Otabor, Phyna won the BBNaija ‘Level Up’ edition’s N100 million grand prize.
