Halle Berry Slams Drake For Using Her Photo To Promote His Song

Over the weekend, Halle Berry took to social media to express her anger with Drake for using a photo of her as the cover for his current single “Slime You Out.” The image in question depicts the award-winning actress slimming down during the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Drake’s latest song, featuring R&B singer SZA, is the lead single from his upcoming For All the Dogs album. The 36-year-old Canadian rapper and SZA first shared the cover for the track on their Instagram pages on Wednesday, but they did not provide any further details.

Berry, though, appeared to criticise the Certified Lover Boy rapper’s behavior in an Instagram post following the release of the single on Friday. “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy… even if you’re a woman!” wrote the 57-year-old.

The Monster’s Ball actress’ post received several comments, including one from a user who asked for her thoughts on Drake using “that picture” of hers for his single. Berry responded saying, the rapper and singer “didn’t get my permission.” “That’s not cool I thought better of him !” the Oscar-winner added.

In a follow-up comment, Berry stated, “hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you you have to be the bigger person and move on !”

Another user who commented on Berry’s post on Saturday stated that the photo in question is owned by Getty Images. “So im sure he got their permission. And paid the fee,” the user added. “why you mad.”

Berry responded, stating, “Cuz he asked me and i said NO that’s why. Why ask if you intend to do what you want to do ! That was the f*uck you to me. Not cool You get it? ❤️
