Many Ghanaians have commended Gyan for the project, which they say will be of immense benefit to Accra Academy.

Sports journalist, Saddick Obama, is one of those that have praised Gyan.
“Honestly, I think this guy has tried with this project. It is his money and he could’ve eaten ‘chofi’ if he wanted.
“Others are doing well in other spheres though, and they deserve commendations. But imagine if all his big earning predecessors had each constructed at least a pitch for their schools or communities? Way to go,” he said.

Gyan recently scored his 51st international goal for Ghana.
The star striker is the highest goal scorer in the history of the nation.
