His movies and music are out there for people to enjoy but one thing actor cum musician, Lilwin, will not put in the public domain is his love life and its attendant issues whether or not sensible or unhealthy.
He describes anyone whose love life plays come in public as childish as a result of for him one’s romantic relationship may be a personal issue and should not be publicised.
“Every relationship has its ups and downs and talking about it on social media or any other platform won’t result in the problems being resolved.
“To me, no sane marriage can go their separate ways if everything goes on well with them. thus giving details concerning what crystal rectifier to the divorce is senseless and unwise. the general public won’t solve your marriage problems for you however rather mock you,” Lilwin said in an interview with Showbiz on Monday, July 30.
“Look, if President Nana Addo is to give everyone the free will to divorce today, I am sure the whole country wouldn’t be able to contain the divorce rate because almost everyone has a problem with their relationship. Even the happiest couples on earth have it rough sometimes”, he added.
Using himself as an example, Lilwin said he didn’t see the need to comment when his former fiancée, Patricia Afriyie, with whom he has two children accused him of being a cheat, greedy and a pretender who is jealous of the progress of other people about three years ago.
“I didn’t see why I had to explain myself to Ghanaians because no one knew what we were going through. I always say that women who quickly run to the media with their marital or relationship issues face the consequences later.
“I will never marry or go out with any woman who puts her issues out there for everyone to say any ‘silly’ thing about,” Lilwin added.
Away from romance to his career, Lilwin, born Kwadwo Nkansah, believes the movie industry will not die or is dead as some players have been saying.
“There is no way the movie industry is on the verge of collapse becuase some of us are still working. This thing about the industry dying was said some five years ago but we are still shooting films. I admit the movie industry is struggling but it collapsing or dying is out of the question,” he added.
This year marks a decade since Lilwin joined the movie industry and the actor who is known for countless movies said he’s gotten this far because of his humility.
“I have shot movies like Once Upon A Time In accra, Esaa na Asa, Black warrior, Asori Payin, Abusua Meferi letter, Lil Osama, The Bachelors, So Ninkunu, Liwin Guy Guy, Mogya Fra among others and all these happened because i am humble,” he said.
On his music career Lilwin whose songs include Mama Boss papa, Akyira Asem, Champion Attah and Ladder said he has also done songs with Samini and Guru and is progressing to record one with Stonebwoy soon.
