Former SA’s Beauty Queen Suzette Celebrates 50th Birthday in Mozambique

The Former Miss South Africa, Suzette van der Merwe celebrated her 50th birthday on a tropical island in Mozambique. who was crowned Miss South Africa in 1990, looked incredible as she “leaped into the big 5-0,” wearing a white swimsuit.

“Leaping into 50! So much to be grateful for,” she captioned a photo on Instagram. “Trust the magic of new beginnings,” she shared in another post.

Our reigning Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green also wished Suzette a happy birthday, writing on Instagram: “To one of the most beautiful women that I know. Happy Birthday @suzettevandermer. What an angel, with a kind heart and generous soul you are. [sic]”

She also thanked the brunette beauty for being a “mentor, friend and mama,” adding: “May this year exceeds all your expectations. Love you loads.”
