Former Miss South African Is Expecting Her First Child

Former Miss South African Marilyn Mahoney (Ramos) is expecting her first child with husband, Louwrens Mahoney.

The couple revealed the exciting news in December and have now announced that they are awaiting a baby boy’s arrival.

“With this new journey and our greatest adventure about to begin, we know that the best is yet [to] come,” Marilyn wrote in an Instagram post.

“We are still blown away, humbled and [honoured] to be entrusted with this great responsibility of bringing into the world and raising our precious gift, our very own son,” she said.

Speaking to Huisgenoot, Marilyn, crowned Miss South Africa 2012, said that the first three months of her pregnancy had been a “breeze”. “… I wasn’t sick, and I didn’t have any symptoms. We are now at the halfway mark and I am still healthy, and fortunate that I’m still able to exercise,” she said.
