Floods A Punishment From God, Says Pastor

Relentless rain left large areas of the US southeast under water and forecasters warned that more heavy downpours could trigger historic flooding in the crucial next 24 hours. The states of North and South Carolina have been particularly hard hit, but the driving rain in recent days has spared almost none of the US East Coast and forecasters say the worst is not over quite yet. The current heavy flooding being witnessed in the country is a punishment from God because the nation is filled with evil, a pastor has said.

Pastor John Kariamiti said that God is annoyed with Kenya and He is punishing Kenyans with heavy floods because of the rot in the society.

Kariamiti, who preaches on the streets of Nairobi called on the country to repent and seek God’s forgiveness to avoid more calamities.

He cited the example of Nairobi which he termed as the headquarters and mother of all evil saying that is why it is the most affected by floods.

He added that God is expressing his anger against the country and unless the country repents, worse things are yet to come.

“These floods are not in any way normal and God is showing us that He is not happy with our rotten society. He is calling on Kenya to repent before it’s too late,” he said.

“God uses such calamities to demonstrate his anger and warn His people and only the wise can be able to read these signs. Kenya has run away from God and we need to ask God to redeem us and our nation,” he said Kariamiti added that the country has been mocking God for long and it’s time Kenyan leaders led the nation in total and true repentance.

“Why is it that only these things are happening in Kenya?” he posed.

“Why are we not hearing the same  in countries like Uganda and Tanzania?”
