She was arrested and charged with murder after he was found dead in his flat in Alexandra on March 9 this year.
During her bail application Manqele said she had acted in self-defence after being attacked.
She also admitted in an affidavit to stabbing the star.
“However, I deny that this was done unlawfully and intentionally by myself. I had been brutally attacked by the deceased on the day of his death. There was imminent danger to my life on the day in question,” she said.
