Baxter surprised many when he opted to take on a new challenge after steering Chiefs to the Premiership and MTN8 titles last season.
However, After just two games in charge, the notoriously trigger-happy club boss sacked Baxter. The Turkish-born Ertugral empathised with Baxter’s plight, having experienced something similar during his time at the helm of Sivasspor.
“I think Stuart experienced a football environment that was very demanding and, as I said, sometimes unbearable,” Ertugral told Soccer Laduma.
“Unfortunately I couldn’t speak to him, otherwise I would have warned him about what he was going to face.
“He went to a club where coaches have… let me say… no value. He has done so much for football and is a very good coach.”
