The three CORD principals have agreed a secret pact ahead of the 2017 General Elections.
The agreement, News24 understands will see all three leaders remain committed to the Coalition despite the nomination of one of them to be the flag bearer ahead of the 2017 elections.
The agreement has been signed by the three and will ensure that there is unity after the nomination process which will take place later this year.
” The three leaders will remain in CORD regardless of whoever will be chosen to tackle the Presidency. They have a secret pact,” a source that wished not to be named told News24.
It is not yet clear whether the pact aligned who will be the running mate and third in line once the nominee is chosen.
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka when quizzed about the pact stated without agreeing to it that the coalition was strong er than ever.
” We are stronger than ever. We will have one coalition ahead of the elections. That is obvious,” he stated.
Kalonzo is on record as saying he will support whoever is rightly chosen as the next CORD flag bearer for the 2017 polls.
FORD Kenya leader Wetang’ula has also said he is in the CORD Coalition to stay.
