Luhya leaders wrote a letter to CORD leader Raila Odinga detailing their demands ahead of the 2017 General Elections.
The letter was handed to Raila when he met the leaders in Kakamega and others in Nairobi all last week.
The leaders are concerned about a number of things ahead of the 2017 polls.
First off, they want the CORD flag bearer for the 2017 elections named by August this year to facilitate early campaigns.
Second, they want CORD not to field double candidates during the elections to enable the ease of voting for one coalition.
They want the CORD leader to explain his election strategy for 2017.
The leaders also want Raila to explain his strategy for uniting the Luhya people who have three leaders already seeking the presidency in Ford Kenya boss Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi of ANC as well as President Uhuru Kenyatta. They also want to know if he will take Mudavadi on his wing.
“The questions are valid. We just want to know if we are in the right place,” a leader who attended the meeting told News24.
Raila is seeking Luhya votes as he prepares for the 2017 polls.
